Dear Friends,
It's with great excitement that we introduce to you the new We Love Kids project to help our Stieng students in Eastern Cambodia. We are seriously praying for the means to build the school pictured below. These architectural blueprints were made six years ago, in faith! We are believing prayerfully that God will open new doors for us to build this center as a long term solution to the serious problem of schooling for our Grade 7-12 students, most of whom, to date, still don't have the means to graduate from high school.
This two story building with surrounding grounds will function not only as a boarding school and day school, but will be multi-functional as well. It can also function as a community development center, and an evangelistic outreach center - a place of salt and light!
In our recent trip to Vietnam, Joni and Gary were able to attend a Franklin Graham rally at a large stadium in Saigon. It was an incredible experience! At least 1000 people went forward. What was most amazing was that people could freely worship without fear. The crusade was also a great exercise in unity. More than 900 pastors and church leaders from 60 denominations worked together for the event. It was noted that "this is the first time so many denominational leaders have been under one roof”!
One of our university students in Saigon, Trong Nghia, is an excellent IT student who has been with WLK through his high school years. He is now the proud recipient of a laptop computer, given by our friend and fellow traveller, Ben. This young man has made many sacrifices, including selling his motorcycle in order to have enough money to continue studying.We continue to trust God that Nghia will have enough sponsorship to make it through university!
