We Love Kids We Love Kids is a ministry under Paraclete Ministries Southeast Asia, Ltd. which is a 501(C) 3 non-profit organization registered with the U.S. government. It is run by a 5 person board, and was founded by Pastor Joni Wise. WeLoveKids foundation is a project under the National Heritage Foundation. WeLoveKids is a partnering organization of both missionaries and Vietnamese nationals and our purpose is to enable, equip and empower Vietnamese Christian churches to both evangelize and provide helps for their own people. At present, out of 12 partners, 8 are Vietnamese and 4 are western missionaries. Their names are not listed for security reasons. We Love Kids was founded about 5 years ago. After it's founding missionary had seen dramatic numbers of children come to the Lord, she felt that it was critical to minister to the physical needs of children in order for their lives to become meaningful and fruitful. Our purpose is try to reach child in Vietnam to hear the gospel at least one time in his or her lifetime. |
We need your help. Thousands of Vietnamese children roam the streets of Vietnam and Cambodia. Either orphaned or separated from their parents, they shine shoes, sell gum or simply beg to survive. These children become prey to sexual predators, are easily sold into prostitution, become drug addicts or contract AIDS. Several of our projects are focused on children at risk, both in Vietnam and Cambodia. One particular goal is to prevent children from having to live on the streets, and if they are there already, to provide a physical and spirtual shelter. - Over 2000 flannelgraph Bible sets have been provided to lay teachers of children across Vietnam.
- 10 literacy classes have been supported, either fully or in part, currently or previously, by WeLoveKids inside Vietnam.
- A school and after school program has been founded in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, called WeLoveKids school which over 200 children have attended since it opened in 2004.
- 200 children have been helped either currently, or previously, through individual scholarships both in Vietnam and Cambodia These assist children to attend primary of high school on a monthly basis. Many of these children are tribal minorities who are extremely poor.
- A feeding program which assisted 100 street children was funded by WeLoveKids for nearly 4 years. Rapid economic development inside Vietnam determined that it wasn't needed anymore!
- A short-term feeding program in a local hospital for children with cleft palates.
- Funding several street children to go into local Christian shelters.
- Best of all, many, many uncounted children have come to know Jesus through these numerous small projects, most of which are done in partnership with local churches or fellowships. We try to give a hand up when needed, then allow the nationals to carry these forward without our assistance as necessary.
- Over 1500 lay teachers have been trained to help children know Jesus and learn the truths of the Christian life.
- Partnering with others who have opened shelters for 100 children.
- Providing funds for several summer Bible programs in both Vietnam and Cambodia.
