Ngoc Giang, who had been having a lot of behavioral problems (at 17 years old he was just starting 3rd grade, with nowhere to go!) and kept threatening to drop out of school, was been accepted to a wonderful, Christian vo-tech school! He is presently doing a "catch-up" program in the Khmer language and next year will be trained for an occupation of his choice. and is now making great progress! He is a Christian and is faithful in school and playing soccer!

Phat is 14 years old and just finishing up 3rd grade. Phat comes to school on his own, as his mother doesn't pay attention to him and we don't know where his father is. His mother is a severe alchoholic. Phat is determined to stay in school and to find transport he managed to buy a bicycle for $5! He has believed in Jesus since he started in our school over 3 years ago. Phat has been accepted into a wonderful Christian school next year and his Khmer language skills have improved to where he will do all his studies in that language. Please pray for Phat!

Hoai Thanh, (right) is another 3rd grader who has struggled with a dysfunctional family. His 16 year old sister is a prostitute and his father spends most evenings drinking. Hoai Thanh is a faithful stable boy who has given his heart to Jesus and comes to school every day. He is nearly 14, just finishing 3rd grade. He has also been accepted into a "catch-up" vo tech program, so that by the time he is 18 he will have a stable occupation.

Diem's family is so poor they live in a smelly basement area in a room a few feet square. Her and her parents do all sorts of odd jobs to survive. Diem comes in on Saturdays to help us clean the We Love Kids building to get extra spending money. She is also 14 years old and in 3rd grade. Diem needs a stable environment and job training to avoid being forced into prostitution to survive. She has also been accepted to a vo-tech school, and we are praying that she will be able to attend regularly, since she is often absent from class so that she can help her mother.

Thao is 13 and has a younger sibling who is autistic. Her parents live on a rooftop in a dark, concrete floored room. The sibling has no medical care and must be watched 24 hours a day. This puts a terrible stress on the family, and on Thao who often has to stay home and take care of her sibling. Please pray that we can find some medical help for disabled children so that Thao can continue to go to school.
